The abstract sculptures of Erik Wuthrich (Amsterdam, 1961) are mostly based on organic shapes and patterns that he encounters in nature. The art works refer to solidified movement and time. He then covers the shapes with a seductive skin of gold leaf, glass, acrylic or mosaic. Infinity is a side step into mathematics. The basic shape is the ring of Möbius, without beginning, end, inside or outside. Infinity has been exhibited at Singer Museum in Laren in 2019 and in ’21/22 at Bravis in Roosendaal.
